I highly recommend the tourist bus to everyone! Thanks to this bus service, we were really able to discover the whole of Athens. There was one route covering the city and its main attractions, another route going towards the bay, and a coastal route heading towards Piraeus. The main hub for all routes was at the Acropolis stop.
The buses were clean and arrived at the stops almost on time, depending on the traffic in the city. The drivers were very friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist.
Overall, I highly recommend this bus service to anyone visiting Athens. It is an excellent and affordable way to explore the city and see its main attractions. It is definitely worth the money!
Very well developed routes, you can see many monuments. A voice-over in 16 languages, with great storytelling. The downside is the lack of punctuality of some drivers.
One of the highlights of our 2 weeks trip to Greece - this made our visit to the Acropolis accessible both physically (amongst the crowds) and intellectually, with stories that engaged our son and - moreover- both myself and my husband. A must do when in Athens, highly recommend
Really easy to book online, the stops are easy to find and dotted around the city and the staff are friendly.
Super convenient and easy to use. It’s great that it works for 2/3 days as you can explore everything with enough time and at your own pace.
Worked well. Buy on line to get discounts. Some of the buses are a little tired but so we're we.
Very Convenient and easy..
Great to see and visit the highlights of Athens. Good stops and also capable drivers
Very easy to travel around to different areas and the wait times were not long.
Easy to use. Just make sure to transfer at Acropolis to see rest of Athens. Lots of traffic so may take little longer than expected
Easy and great value highly recommend
Great way to get around the house city on a rainy day
Fantastic! The bus is a fun ride, great for getting around or just to relax and sight-see. But the best was that I bought the ticket on a whim, while finishing an early dinner at a restaurant in Plaka, using the restaurant's WiFi. In mere moments, I had the ticket in my email and the app, and 10 minutes later I was stepping on the bus with a valid ticket, no hassle, no problem. I even got 10% off because I had previously bought the Athens Pass through Tiqets, and they kindly give a discount code for your next purchase. Really impressed with this site/app and what it offers. Definitely recommend the bus - and Tiqets for your advance tickets!
Recommended ! We enjoyed it very much. Must do it on your first 2 days in Athens for orientation.
Super easy to use and the operators scan the eticket with out any issues
I was alone in the 2nd deck of the bus. When I went down and asked the driver that I was going to go out of the bus he was so surprised. I think he didn't know ,he had still passenger on board. 😅. I am suggesting to put camera so the driver knows what is happening
The experience is good and definitely worth it, but it must be emphasized that after paying you must choose who the operating company is and that you cannot board another company's buses
Ir was nice, there was some confusion with the traffic and the stops but overall it is good and worth the money.
Gut
Buses not on time.
Poor experience.
Other tour companies such as Big Hus and City SighSeeing houses were much more frequent.
At one stop close to Temple of Zeus, we waited 45 minutes.
Would I recommend?
Definitely not.
Others may cost a bit more, but probably worth it.
The number of buses are comparatively less compared to the other company buses, otherwise pleasant experience
Bus was very delayed late afternoon otherwise nice experience.
Going by the bus was OK, but explanations were poor in English and in Hebrew. The option to go up and down wherever you like is very nice
Athens is not clean, traffic is intense and opposed to what I expected, what's to see is in poor condition. If I ever pass by there again on a cruise, I'll stay on the ship that day.
Amateur service, a mess in the transfer between the lines, no explanation and distribution of headphones, no minimum on a hot day a bottle of water for the passenger...
